For SIRENS OF SONG in Springhill
I was just going through some old videos and found this clip of Theresa Malenfant performing “Bring It On Home to Me” as the encore for one of our other tribute shows. I am thrilled to not only include Theresa as one of the women we celebrate in our latest tribute show, “Sirens of Song: Legendary Female Voices from the Maritimes,” but to also have her on stage with us. She doesn’t do this song in our new show, but she still brings the house down. And that’s the amazing Jennie Del Motte on keys. She is the musical director for “Sirens” and performs in the show.
We’re very excited to be doing “Sirens of Song” for the Anne Murray Centre at the Community Centre in Springhill, NS on Friday, Sept. 4 at 7:30 p.m. This new show is a co-production between Stage East and Festival by the Marsh.
