UPDATE: 230 WATER STREET
For those following the proposed apartment development at 230 Water Street, we wanted to share an update.
The Municipality of Cumberland has confirmed that the original Site Plan Approval has been withdrawn and is no longer in effect.
The developer may submit a revised application. If that happens, there will be a new review, notification and appeal process.
Nova Scotia’s Special Places Program has also confirmed historic burials near the property boundary, and further investigation is planned.
We fully recognize the need for more housing in Pugwash. We also believe new development should be thoughtfully planned, with consideration for neighbouring properties and the historic character of our community.
