The Municipality of Cumberland’s 2026 capital paving program is getting underway this week in Parrsboro and Springhill.
There will be traffic control measures in place when the contractor is working.
Here is a list of streets being completed in this year’s program:
PARRSBORO
– Prince/School Street – From Stanley Street to Queen Street.
– Skidmore Lane – From Two Islands Road to Civic # 92.
– Pier Road – From Two Islands Road to Skidmore Lane.
– Western Avenue – Concrete sidewalk – various location.
– Main Street – Asphalt Sidewalk – From Civic # 521 to Sargent Avenue.
SPRINGHILL
– Pine Street – From Lisgar Street to Spruce Street.
– Elgin Street A – From King Street to Spruce Street.
– Elgin Street B – From Spruce Street to Queen Street.
– King Street – From Lisgar Street to Pine Street.
– Fir Street – From Elgin Street to Junction Road.
– Pleasant Street – From Gilroy Street to south end.
– Lisgar Street – Northbound Lane, from Civic # 7 to Queen Street.
– McFarlane Street – From McGee Street to Crossin Street.
– McGee Street – From Athol Road to Civic # 177.
– McDougal Street – Concrete Sidewalk – From McGee Street to Main Street.
– McGee Street – Asphalt Sidewalk – From Civic # 128 to Herrett Road 672.
